He flew attack helicopters in Viet Nam and received 2 Distinguished Flying Crosses and other valor awards. He has more than two decades of corporate C-level experience from major, technology based U.S. corporations, private as well as public, taking several spin-off companies from inception to prominent positions in their markets. In the process, Blair raised significant amounts of venture capital, and was responsible for staffs of more than 2,200 people.

Dr. Burnett has extensive leadership experience both in science, leading teams of industry and academic scientists on several NIH and DoD funded projects, and recently retired as a Colonel after serving 27 years in the US Army. Dr. Burnett holds a BS from Sonoma State University, a MA from the US Army War College, and a PhD from Wake Forest School of Medicine.

Prior to founding GRN-Atlanta South, Ed gained over 20 years of experience in the Corrugated Packaging Industry. Ed has worked for both Public and Private held corrugated companies. He has led sales organizations in the Integrated Packaging world, as well as, the sheet plant display world. His past leadership roles include Sales Manager, Director of Sales, National Sales Director and Vice President of Sales and Marketing. Ed is a rated helicopter pilot. A skill he gained while serving in the Army for 10 years. During his tenure in the Army Ed commanded numerous units and served at the senior staff levels. He is the Past President CEO of a 501c3 all volunteer organization called Army Aviation Heritage Foundation (AAHF). Ed has served on the Board of Directors for the Boy Scouts and American Red Cross. He has also served on the Board for several start up companies.
Ed has a BS Engineering degree from the United States Military Academy at West Point and a Masters Degree from Embry-Riddle in Aeronautical Science. He has 2 daughters who graduated from the United
States Military Academy at West Point. One is a captain flying Blackhawks in the Army and the other is a Major in the Adjutant General Corp. His wife Molly is a rated Army Helicopter Pilot. They reside in Fayetteville, Georgia.
